Swedish Massage

Swedish massage manipulates the layers of your muscles through the use of long gliding strokes, friction and kneading and tapping movements.

This type of massage is used to ease pain, increase joint mobility and bring relaxation to specific areas of tension.

The benefits of Swedish massage include decreased pain and tension, improvements in circulation, increased flexibility and range of motion, reduction of stress and relaxation.

Your RMT will discuss your needs before performing your treatment. Forty-five-minute, 60-minute and 90-minute sessions are available.

Prenatal Massage

A safe and effective way to ease discomfort as your baby grows, prenatal massage decreases pain and stress hormones and may help with depression and anxiety.

Suzanne’s prenatal treatments focus on treating back and hip pain, neck and shoulder tension and leg and foot swelling while decreasing stress levels.

All sessions can be customized according to your needs with 45-minute, 60-minute and 90-minute sessions available.

A traditional Chinese therapy, Acupressure is a form of stimulation used to relieve pain and stress.

At Suzanne’s your therapist will use Acupressure trigger points to release tension, increase circulation, promote healing of injuries and aid in feelings of well-being.

Known as a treatment that deals with the entire person — body, emotions, mind, and spirit — it can strengthen your resistance to disease and increase your energy levels.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

MLD is a gentle massage that encourages circulation and decreases swelling.

This form of massage uses gentle, rhythmic strokes to stimulate your lymph nodes, encouraging them to open and drain.

The 45- to 60-minute sessions typically involve drainage of the neck, abdomen, trunk, and extremities.

Myofascial Release

Also known as MFR, Myofascial Release is a form of therapy that focuses on easing muscular shortness and tightness.

MFR is used to treat stubborn and recurring injuries and pain.

By relaxing the deep tissue of your body, MFR can help to eliminate scar tissue as well as relax your muscles and improve your posture.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy

This form of treatment is used to eliminate pain and re-educate your muscles into pain-free habits by targeting your body’s trigger points.

Trigger point therapy can reduce swelling and stiffness, increasing your range of motion, flexibility and coordination, while relieving tension and improving your circulation.

Interferential Currents (IFC)

IFC is a non-invasive therapy that uses safe, tiny electrical pulses to provide relief from pain and aid in soft tissue healing.

Ligament sprains, muscle strains and spasms often respond well to interferential current therapy.

It can also be effective to treat post-surgical pain.

During treatment you will feel a tingling or "pins and needles" sensation where the electrodes touch your skin and may also feel the tingling sensation throughout the area being treated.

This sensation may continue for a brief period following the treatment.
